Resource Rules

Last updated: March 6, 2026

1. General Guidelines

All resources published on Arteeks must follow these rules. Violations may result in resource removal, account warnings, or permanent bans depending on severity.

  • Resources must be functional and serve a legitimate purpose
  • Titles and descriptions must accurately represent the resource's functionality
  • Resources must be your own work or you must have explicit permission to distribute them
  • Do not submit duplicate or near-duplicate resources under different names

2. Prohibited Content

The following types of resources are not allowed on Arteeks:

  • Malware, spyware, adware, or any form of malicious code
  • Resources that exploit, grief, or harm players or servers without consent
  • Cheats, hacks, or exploits designed to bypass game mechanics unfairly
  • Resources containing stolen code or assets from other creators
  • Crypto miners, data harvesters, or unauthorized data collection tools
  • Resources that violate Mojang's EULA or usage guidelines
  • Content that is hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or promotes violence

3. Quality Standards

Resources submitted to Arteeks should meet basic quality standards:

  • Must compile and run without critical errors on the stated platforms and versions
  • Must include a clear summary explaining what the resource does
  • Should include a description with setup instructions or usage details
  • Version numbers should follow a consistent scheme (e.g., semantic versioning)
  • Game version and platform tags must be accurate

4. Naming and Branding

  • Resource names must not impersonate or mislead users into thinking they are official products
  • Do not use trademarked names (Mojang, Minecraft, etc.) in a way that implies endorsement
  • Avoid excessively generic names that make discovery difficult
  • Icons and gallery images must be relevant to the resource and not misleading

5. External Links

  • Links must point to relevant, safe destinations (source code, wikis, Discord servers)
  • Do not use link shorteners, ad-gates, or monetized redirect services
  • Download links for the resource itself must go through Arteeks, not external hosts

6. Versioning and Updates

  • Each version upload must contain the actual plugin or software file
  • Do not upload empty, placeholder, or unrelated files
  • Changelogs should describe what changed between versions
  • Use release channels appropriately: alpha for early testing, beta for pre-release, release for stable builds

7. Open-Source and Licensing

  • If your resource uses open-source code, you must comply with the original license
  • Set the correct license on your resource page
  • Forks of other projects must give proper attribution and must add meaningful changes
  • Do not claim sole authorship of forked or derivative work

8. Moderation Process

All new resources and updates are reviewed by the Arteeks moderation team before being made public. During review, moderators check for rule violations, malicious code, and quality standards.

  • Approved - Resource is visible and searchable
  • Rejected - Resource does not meet guidelines; a reason will be provided
  • Withheld - Resource was removed by a moderator for rule violations

If your resource is rejected, you may fix the issues and resubmit. Repeated violations will result in account action.

9. Reporting Violations

If you find a resource that violates these rules, please report it to contact@arteeks.com with a link to the resource and a description of the issue. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
